A self-paced track for building a green building consulting practice — advising owners, developers and design teams on energy performance, certification and sustainable construction. It covers six stages: what the consultant actually does on a project, building science fundamentals, energy modelling and analysis, rating systems and codes, the commissioning and verification work, and pricing, clients and building the practice.
The emphasis is on being useful to a project team rather than administering paperwork, which is what separates a consultant who gets rehired from one who does not. Technical Skills College is independent and issues no certification, credential or licence.
